Hi,

My mother-in-law has just had some work done on her car and the stereo is now asking for a code.

According to the Audio Manual, the serial number is M159780 and the code is 4885 but this code has been rejected.

She hasn't owned the car from new so perhaps the code was changed at some point.

Can anybody tell me what the code should be for this serial number?

Is removing the radio the only way to establish the correct serial number?

And if so, what tools will I need to remove it? (she lives a few miles away so I will have to go equipped!)

Hi Stuart, for that serial number I get the same 4885 code, you will have to remove the radio and confirm the serial number as it might well of been replaced at some time prior to your Mother in law getting the car and the manual not been updated
