SA-HT75 Shows NO DISC?

After placing CD or DVD in, display shows read, then a few seconds later display shows NO DISC. Model Panasonic SA-HT-75

Absolutely no idea - but mine does the same thing. I really hope someone has an answer.

laser pickup guys before the unit make the disc spin it have to be aware if there is a cd or a dvd. If the unit find one, the disc will spin. If the dics is spinning and it find nothing maybe its something else, but if the disc dont turn stop right there it the lens unit

And I have exactly the same problem with mine too. I have run a DVD lens wet/dry cleaner disc through (no effect), and have just taken the unit apart and have cleaned the lens by hand with a cotton bud and cleaning solution (still no effect). I am no expert but my problem sounds the same as Daves as the disc is not spinning at all. Is it possible to buy the necessary spare parts at a reasonable price from anywhere?

I have the same symptoms. On my unit, either the motor or the motor controller circuitry has gone bad.

To prove this to yourself, place a disc in the carrier and note the position it's in. Let it read and give results, then open the carrier - the disc would be in the same position - hasn't turned at all.

The other clue: When it was working I could hear the motor spinning. Now - silence and only the laser unit hunting for a track. Since the disc isn't turning, it will never find any track and thus gives the message "No Disc".

Just a hunch. :)

It's the small plastic part that supposes to move the disc in position is broken. I opened the shell and found this problem, but I couldn't find a replacement part since I don't know what it's called.

Unfortunately I have the same problem with my SA-HT75 as you had NO DISC. Did anyone find a solution ?
