Can I update my Nissan Almera Tino CD/Radio into a SatNav?

Is it possible to update the software on a 2003 Nissan Almera Tino to include a SatNav on the display? The screen and buttons alread exist but my model (S) did not have the SatNav as standard installation.

No it's not. Have phoned a few nissan dealers myself for a quote for our 05 almera tino. The cost is not worth it as they said themselves,

iv seen an almera with 7inch screen built in for sat nav, also includes the dvd player for sat nav n cd player. is the cd player just the standard cd player for music, and also can i put my own after market stereo instead of cd player?

probably not.
It was originally a £1500 optional extra on most models as a factory fit. The system requires a DVD to be in play when you are using it and the search facility does not include postcodes.

the fit is probably not beyond the capabilities of a competent diy-er but would you want the hassle when you can buy a workable sat nav for £100 and an excellent one for £150?
