Boiler not pressurising - Halstead finest gold?

I have a Halstead Finest Gold Combi boiler. I used to put pressure into the system by turning a value lever at the back through 90 degrees, Now when I turn the valve nothing happens! Can anyone help with this problem?

I have exactly the same problem with my Halstead FG. The valve at the back does turn, but I do not hear water entering the system (like it used to) and the guage does not register any pressure. The CH and DHW are both operating Ok though. However when I bleed the radiators water just trickles out. Any ideas anyone

tap the pressure dial a few times it has been known for the needle to stick or gauge go faulty

If you can hear the water filling the system but the gauge does not move then you need to repressurise the system from a valve situated on top of the boiler.

You will need a car footpump to do this.

when you say nothing happens when you turn the valve is it opening, cos it has been known for the little plastic handle to split and the valve does not open
