i had this prob to i had to top up more often turned out to be expansion vessel needed repressurised done it with bicycle pump theres a valve at the top at the back pumped it and let out pressure then pumped it again its been fine ever since.

I've had the same problem, it turned out to be the main heat exchanger which had been leaking. This was obvious when the plumber opened it up.
Also check for excessive steam coming out of the chimney

when the boiler is running check the pressure relief valve is not dumping water out side. it may be only a drip but it will drop your pressue very quickly. a new one is only about £10 - £15 you can fit it in 15 mins

i had a similar problem turned out there was dirt in some of the pipes at the boiler, try bleeding all your radiators aswell.
