Sanyo DS25204 lightning strike?

I have a Sanyo that got hit during a lightning storm. The fuse is ok but I suspect trans K2638 to be bad. Just wondering if it's worth troubleshooting or if most likely many components are fried. The pcb where K2638 is located has a hot spot on it.

I ALSO SAME SITUATION WITY YOU, BUT I SUSPECT TWO PARTS :ONE IS THE HORIZONTAL TRANSISTOR (TT2168) AND K2638.MY ONLY PROBLEM IS, WHERE CAN I BUY THIS PART.YOU KNOW SOME ONLINE STORE THAT CAN BUY SMALL QUANTITY ONLY.

Mark, I have the same poroblem with a Sanyo DS27930. It was hit by lightning and the fuse did not blow. I also think the k2638 is bad. I have the same hot spot you mentioned. The resistance between pin 1 and 3 is very low,(2.8 ohms) which tells me it is probably shorted. I am going to replace it as soon as I can find the part. It you have anything new to report, please do so, but I think it will fix it.
