No power to monitor, Hannspree xm19?

I have tried several leads but the power will not work.
It's new since Christmas but I lost receipt and can't get it repaired by Hanns. So has any body got any ideas how to fix it.

It sounds like you have had a power surge, it is repairable, have a look at our website www.lumaco.co.uk, it usually costs around £50 + postage + VAT to repair, assuming that you live in the UK.

There is NO power Light and the mains lead plugs into the back
of the monitor.
"It looks like it could be a bad Buy" ...

Is there a separate PSU or does the power lead plug directly into the monitor?
If the lead plugs into the monitor then it is an internal fault, does the power light come on at all?
