CD PLAYER WILL NOT PLAY ANY DISCS ..ERROR?

I have recently bought a lexus is 200 sport 02 plate and the cd player will accept cd's but will not play them is there a simple cheap solution to my problem ....I hope so it just displays error every time i put a disc in ... please help me
