Stained Pearl Necklace?

I have a pearl necklace. They are simulated pearls by a company called Rosita that I have had since 1968. I had a feather boa that was dyed magenta which is a very bright pink. The back of my neck was hot and the dye rubbed off onto about 6 pearls either side of the clasp. I do not want to start rubbing them too hard as I don't want to spoil them. Has anyone any ideas?

Myrle's absolutely right. Denture cleaners will safely remove any stains without harming the necklace. Leave for about 4-6 hours. Rinse thoroughly.

I would take them to a jeweler or at the very least, call and ask what you might be able to do. Pearls can be ruined very easily. If you are unable to get them cleaned, you may want to have the string restrung and new pearls bought to replace the stained ones. If the pearls are small, the cost should be reasonable for the pearls. Having them restrung may, on the other hand be very expensive because of the time and labor involved.

I have been to that you can soak them in denture cleaner as you would you dentures. This is what someone told me.
