boiler wont fire up?

ariston a23mffi inconsistant firing up some times trips out main fuse boad.
could it be circuit board
takes about 1 to 3mins to start up but not all the time fan works fine when it kicks in

Sorry, I should have said, take the power lead off the gas valve, and see if the boiler igniters spark and no fuse trips, if they spark and it doesn't trip you now know its a problem with the gas valve. Or if it still trips you have ruled out the gas valve

Could be the pcb or the gas valve, also check the pump is running ok, as this also has the capacity to trip the fuse if it is stuck
