My Amilo L7320gw Laptop screen broke?

My Amilo L7320gw Laptop screen broke the other day. Loads of lines appear on the screen and its really distorted. I know the laptop is fine apart from that because I have hooked it up to another monitor. The screen is not cracked but there is a small hairline crack on one of the hinges. Has anybody got any ideas on how to fix it? Would replacement hinges work or would I need to but a complete new screen.

I'm very grateful for any answers or suggestions

If you decide not to fix it i know a great website that gives cash for broken laptops. Check out

A hairline crack in the hinge won't be the problem. Sometimes a plug at one end of the cable that carries signals and power between the laptop motherboard and the screen works loose, so you could check those, but it sounds as though your screen, like mine, is actually broken. I'm planning to take my Amilo Pi1536 to Rolta in Hayes next week for a while-you-wait screen replacement. Not cheap but cheapest I could find.

Sounds like you need a replacement LCD screen

Hope this information helps...
