Weedeater fuel line replacement?

How do I replace a deteriorated fuel line on a Poulan Weedeater XT 20T?

I was able to purchase about 1 foot of the 1/16" line and pulled the old one out and twisted the new one and inched it in very slowly with twizers. Once I was able to pull it out of the other end, I cut the damaged part from the twizers off.
