How do I install an AH30-00068A laser pickup assembly in a Samsung HT-P38 home theatre dvd player.
I have replaced the part twice and the laser unit wouldn't recognise the discs.
I returned the parts as I suspected they were DOA.
I re-installed the original assembly and it worked, w/ the same results after about and hour the disc pixalates and freeze up.
Cleaning the laser didn't help, either.

haven't got an answer for you seems like samsung is just a crap product as my dvd in the home theater I bought packed it in 14 months after I bought it .I took it back to where I got it they dont repair them there ,sent me to a place they got things repaired was gunna cost me $175 to fix which I thought was extreme.Got onto samsung they couldnt do a thing because it was 2 months out of warranty....so,probably the answer is not to buy that brand again as I certainly wont be

Try running it without the case with some fans placed around it. Heat buildup might be an issue, especially if it is in a closed entertainment center.
