ive put 2x400 watt subs and a 1400 watt amp in my car but i get music as well as bass through them ive checked all the wiring and its correct do you have any idea's what is causing it to play music as well

if the amp has a switch that says lpf then set it to that, if it doesnt then you need a low pass filter / crossover as these block all signals above a certain frequency
