renovating a house?

Replace the windows and external doors first, then get a plasterer / joiner in to make good any damage to the reveals. At the same time get him to make good any damage done when removing the skirting boards and door architraves etc. This is also the time to have any cracked ceilings boarded over and skimmed. Then put back new skirtings etc - and go ahead and decorate - the internal doors can be hung at any time, even after the carpets go in. Make sure you're happy with lighting and electric socket arrangements though. Enjoy - and don't take on too much at a time!
