How to clean and seal floor tiles?

Bought a new place recently, which has very light coloured floor tiles in the kitchen. There are spares in the garage and packaging says they are marble. Unfortunately, any stain seems to soak in and stay. I have seen products around, but can anyone recommend a good product(s) with which to clean and then seal them, so that they become less porous? Thanks!

Actually if it is natural stone-marble, you may be stuck with it's characteristics. Not only does marble absorb stains rapidly but it also scratches fast too! The marble can be cleaned and sealed professionally by a company like http://www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com as well as other cleaning, polishing, and restoration service which is available. If you have a tight budget, try to use neutral cleaners that can be purchased at a professional cleaners store, and use a microfiber padded mop to clean and rinse consecutively. Natural stone is beautiful on floors when cared for, however, they do require regular maintenance. As far as sealers go, stick with water based sealers like stone tech's DuPont product. Other sealers like solvent based, high gloss, acrylic, and others can make your life horrible! Never put any sealer on unless your floors are immaculate! Again hire a professional service. Good Luck my friend!
