You were close. Turned out the code was written on the sun visor - 0897. Finally got it working.

Has to start with a 1 or a 0 so would be the 2nd one.

Currently locked out of the damn thing, so it's disconnected at the moment, until I power it up and leave it for a while.

Will try later/tomorrow morning and let you know.
