the set may be in the protection mode that indicates aproblem
with the line output 'field output stage, audio stage.unless you know something about tv's don't touch! the protection mode is there to prevent more serious damage to the tv you would first have to isolate the power supply to check the voltage then check the various stages to see if the fault lay there you would have to know a little bit of component theory to under stand the results of your checks.
