Baxi combi 80Eco heats radiators when selector switch on water only?

Baxi combi 80Eco boiler heats radiators when selector switch is on both central heating and domestic hot water positions.
Boiler keeps running and can not be cut out by thermostat or timer settings. Is this a faulty selector switch?

Just a quick note to say thanks to every one took a chance on it being the dhw switch as it wasn`t clicking like the ch switch was , bought one off the shelf from a local heating spares supplier fitted it myself as was quite easy to do one for one wiring boilers working fine now once again thanks

I have the same problem the c h micro switch has got continunity across it when pushed in but the valve only returns when you turn off the power. guessing by what i read its the h w micro switch that needs replacing . what do you all think .

It is the microswitch. Only problem is that the manual does not tell you what the part number is and there is another microswitch on the CH side. They often get confused when buying on the web.

Your right Bob it was a stuck micro switch on the diverter valve. The switch was therefore calling for hot water without the taps being turned on.

I had the same problem.
You need a new microswitch which costs around £25

Sounds like a problem with a stuck / duff diverter valve, if it heats rad on dhw setting, it must be stuck in ch position
