Internet connection keeps crashing?

I have a medion laptop and use wireless broadband. Every few minutes the internet connection crashes. I have to click in right hand corner BT Home Hub icon and disconnect from ther internet and then re-connect. It then works for a few more minutes. There are 4 other laptops in the house and the same thing happens on one of them. The other 3 are okay.

Thanks for all your help. I have been trying your hints. My internet connection has only crashed once in over 1 hour so that is a very good improvement.
I altered a couple of things. One was the battery performance and the other was private network. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank you again. Kind regards.

Hi Linda

I think windows vista is the problem, it periodically switches off the wireless network for some reason

the last one is probably the one you want

I don't know whether its any help, I get a message saying connected to "unidentified home hub" when the internet crashes. I then have to disconnect and re-connect and it then says connected to "identified home hub". Kind regards

Thanks again for your help. All the laptops are windows vista. It seems the less expensive ones are the problem ones.

Hi Linda

Are you using Windows XP, Windows Vista or something else.

You can find out by right clicking the mouse on 'My Computer' on the desktop and then clicking 'Properties' or goto Start>Control Panel and then double clikcing 'System'

Hi Linda

What operating system are you using on the failing laptops? and what operating system is on the 3 OK laptops

I am not sure. BT connected it when they first installed the Home hub. I think a number was typed in. Sometimes the connection will last 15 minutes other times it disconnects every 3/4 mins. Thanks for your help.
