I have a crack going across a flat section of lead on a flat roof. I'd also like to know how to repair it please

If the crack or tear is in lead flashing, easiest thing to do is just replace that length or section of flashing completely. If it's actually a complete lead roof covering it would be a bigger job - meaning replacing to the next roll/upstand. Lead welding using gas is possible but results in toxic fumes.
