i have a code for my radio but it wont let me input it?

i understand that i have to press 1, 2, 3, and 4 then 5 to register the code but no numbers are going in. can anybody help the radio is a rds 2006 in a ford escort 1994 mreg. is it a matter of disconnectin then trying again?

Hi Kev after 3/4 attemps of putting the code in the radio shuts down and will not allow you to enter any code youll have to take it to a shop for them to get the main code for it to be activated it again

I had one of these years ago don't you have to keep pressing 1 that increments the first digit, then 2 that increments the 2nd digit etc not just type in the code. Is that what you are doing ?
