There is no water in my toilet pan atall, should i flush it?

There is no water in my toilet pan atall, should i flush it as there is water in the cistern? It was fine this morning then when i came home from shopping and needed the loo as im 5 months pregnant it sounded different, that was when i realised there was no water. Please can you help me its a armitage shanks, sorry there is no other details i can see, thank you.

If you enquire from other members of the family, you'll probably find that someone flushed more than the usual amount of paper down the wc earlier in the day and this resulted in greater suction drawing down the water seal completely. Surely you have seen this happen before??!!!!

There should be water in the pan, obviously, as this helps the sewage flush away and prevents smells escaping from the sewer itself. The question is - where has the water gone? Flush the loo to fill the trap - and look for leaks around the bottom of the pan.
