Black & Decker KD 162 drill needs mending?
Although nothing the matter with the motor the drive to the chuck seems to be seized.Symptoms first occurred when the drill seized in use. It is no longer possible to turn the chuck by hand. Once disconnected from the chuck drive the motor runs perfectly. There is no apparent damage to any parts although a worn bearing rumble occurs if any attempt is made to run the drill for more than a few seconds.
