KETTLE TURNS OFF BEFORE WATER BOILS?

Try just using a descaling sachet - worked for us only last night after noticing the premature 'cut out' for a couple of weeks.
Russel Hobbs kettle approx. 2-3 years old.

You must live in a very hard water area. Either move house or use less water or use the microwave. Your kettle's probably fine if it doesnt need descaling. Check this site for hard or soft water areas: http://www.espares.co.uk/hardorsoftwater.aspx
