This set has a history of shutting down. The fault gradually advanced to include frame 'fold-over' and the display of three single colour lines. Finally, the frame collapsed to a small momentary line scan at the top of the screen.

I have four years to go before they turn our analogue TV off, in the meantime, it would be great to continue watching this lovely TV,
excellent when working properly.

Yes, I am frantically trying to acquire a Serevice Manual.

I should mention the whole unit has been thoroughly cleaned with Isopropyl Alcohol and shows NO sign of component distress.

This tv uses the AE2 CHASSIS have you checked for usual dry joints on field o/p i/c and regulators in power supply. When tv goes off how many times does the LED flash?
