Is My Laptop ruined?

Bought a used Asus Linux 2GB laptop from Dabs.com 3 weeks ago. 2days ago spilled wine on keyboard. Now only can hear fan starting up and battery light on. Nothing comes on LCD panel. Help in knowing if its dead for good :0(

Yes its probley too late, but if you have home contents insurance, you may be covered for accidental damage which would cover your laptop, Stick a claim in.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, usually liquid spills in laptops damage the systemboard. If you spill liquid, the usual advice is to turn off immediately and dry out slowly before trying to power on, or even better gwt someone that knows about them to take it apart and dry it out.
Unfortuately if liquid hits the systemboard while the unit is powered it's often too late for any of these actions :-(
