My Dell Inspirion Windows 10 laptop has no network socket?

My Dell Inspirion laptop has no network socket. The WiFi connection is not good and I'd like to plug it into my router via a cable.

What are my best options, I have seen USB adapters which have network sockets. I've also seen USB WiFi adapters. Which is the best way to go?

A USB wireless adapter will rely on wireless - which you admit to be bad in your environment.

A USB ethernet adapter will be a hard-wired connection - not subject to interference and available from Amazon for £6.99 + carriage.

You decide the best approach...
