We used some equivalent cartridges for this printer which worked fine.At the next refill we then installed the official epson cartridges the printer will not work and does not recognise cartridges. Can we re-set the printer

I have the exact same problem changed my compatable cartridges for genuine Epson and the printer now won't work it keeps saying that i have to install genuine Epson cartridges
Epson tech support were no help they suggested that i buy another set of ink and if it still didn't work then it must be a faulty printer .. aren't they bright at Epson tech support!!

It's a common problem, make sure you are using cartridges that match the newer version of the printer, the older ones don't have the right chip. I got mine from here:
