My kitchen floor is starting to raise up where the seam meets, what can I do to make it lay flat again?

The secret with laminate flooring is to 1) keep it dry 2) (most important) make sure that there is clearance all the way round the floor area so the laminate doesn't touch the wall. A 10mm gap is the norm. I reckon your floor has expanded due to (2) - perhaps you could check this?
