when the boiler heats up it trips the electric trip switch

Did a solution to this problem get posted I have exactly the same issue Worcester combi oil 15-19.
First I had a lockout and pressure had dropped due to being off for a few days, when I reset pressure and restarted, boiler worked, burner kicked in and after a few moments when it seems the water pump it kicking in then the electric tripped off, I reset and repeated same problem.
Any help appreciated, a friend mentioned a damaged water pump pulling too much current.
Many thanks.

Are you confusing a boiler with a hot water cylinder?

Whatever the case a bit more information is needed ie boiler make and model. Is it a boiler, combi , hot water cylinder or unvented hot water?

If something is tripping fuses it obviously points to an electrical fault , but without more information I cant tell you what is suspect.

Hi guys, been sitting here having a think about that one.....a bit strange (not very fimilar with that boiler, tend not to get to many of them in Ireland)

Possibly, try changing the solenoid coil, it is an item that can be heat sensitive, and possibly works fine on cold firing, then shorts out when heated, but bit of a long shot! would have imagined the control box on the burner would have just locked out.

Which burner is it...the electro-oil or the bentone? (assume this is a combi)

Bet John will nail this one....seems to be the resident oil expert, and if my suspicion is right on who he is, he also posts on the OFTEC web site.......hmmm..i wonder?

i cant understand why it runs cold, anything tripping power has to be a working part needing a constant elec flow and earth so has to be fan, pump some solenoids. are the gas valves 240 v.

I aint seen many of these in my area so forgive my ignorance.
T might have some idea tho

the boiler is a worcester heatslave 15/19, when the boiler is cold runs for about 5min then trips trip switch in the house. when we put it back on it trips straight away.

what boiler is it, when does it do it exactly, is there a pattern to it, more detail, more detail, more detail
