this process is fine for disarming the immobilsier but the main issue for me is having to do it every time I want to start the car I found all the problems to be cause because the circut board was fried because of water leakage from the antenna assembly which I am rebuilsing and sealing as I type a friend and I may make a new circut board which bypasses the system making the central locks still work and do away with the immobiliser i will keep people posted!

It depends what sort of key you have. With my Renault Megane 1997, you can't reprogramme the key - it has to be done in the factory. I have to go to a Reanult Dealer with proof of who I am and that I own the car, then they order a key in. It takes a few weeks to arrive and costs about £80-90.

when you have entered the code , you need to turn the ignition of then press and hold the central locking button till you hear the door locks make a noise then you need to point the plip key at the receiver in the roof and press the plip 3 times ,also its a little tricky , if you have two plips you need to do this on both plips before the red led goes out on the dash ,if you only got one plip to code in just press annd hold the central button again and start all over , if the door locks dont make a noise , you need to start from putting the code in again.
