How can I fix a ford cd player in a 2001 ford forte?

the cd player in my 2001 ford forte will not play any cds. Earlier it would play some original and some burnt cd. now it does neither

Possibly due to a dirty laser. A cleaning kit which is basically a CD with small brushes fixed on the surface +cleaning fluid on it is readily available ( Try Ebay )
