How can I gain access and repair my upvc windows handle mechanism. although the handle moves ok, it does not move the rods enough to latch into the recesses to close it properly

I think I know what lock you have but a photo would help,if you could send 1 send it to shaun@sdwupvcrepair.co.uk.right first of all is your espag lock broke,hold on to one of these pins as you turn your handle to see if it moves ok,if its loose and dosnt move you need a new espag,write down make and any other numbers or words and order one,if it moves ok take screws out of keep(recesses) and move keeps closer to pin then screw back in and should be fine

It is a bow window with side openers each side and no top opener. The bolts come out of the side into recesses.

is your sash a top opener,if so what type of espag(lock)is on your window,does it have shoot bolts that come out of each side of sash or a strip with cams on that are on bottom of sash
