Remote locks - one not working?

Title says it all really. Did the Shaun trick (resetting the key, thank you) which sorted the remote problem but the passenger front lock doesn't respond, does work manually though....

monty. when you activate the central locking, you should hear at least 5 little solenoids (motors) activate the locks. one for each door and one for the boot/tailgate. if you remove the doorcard you should find the solenoid attached to the locking mechanism. simon

Thanks Simon, the car is a Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 DI LS (1997).
Are the solenoids located in the doors?

monty. just saw you question. stumbled on this site by accident,( it's now in favourites ). i don't know what car you have but it sounds as though the door lock solenoid, which operates the locking mechanism on each door, has died. main agents will want in excess of £50-60 for each solenoid, so a trip to your nearest scrapper is in order. hope this helps in some way si
