Potterton puma 80e heating failing after being left off for a few days?

My heating fails to light if left off for a few days but if i leave the dhw running for 10-15 mins then try the heating again it will come on..Anybody got any ideas?

A common problem with these units can be dry joints on the main circuit board, where the solder has come away from the contacts and can cause intermittent faults like you describe.
By moving the wires near the board gently, if the boiler starts up then this is the problem, and a new board will be required.
