How can I change the strimmer line on my Ryobi 3042 Petrol driven grass str?

I have a nearly new (bought last year) Ryobi Petrol driven grass strimmer with a plastc cutting line. I need to open the spool box, where the strimmer line is stored. TRy as I might I cannot get it open, short of resorting to a lump hammer! can anyone help?

the trimmer head travels in a clockwise motion so you need to loosen it by turning it counterclockwise. you probably need to push the head in and then twist the knob to the left. I'm not familiar with your model, but some models have a slot where you can put a scrrew driver in to keep the head unit from turning while you twist the cap off

I have the same problem with my new Tarus strimmer. If I find a useful site I'll let you know! (There's got to be a way in, there's got to be a way in .....)
