I have a brand new WT940 with an H2O error when it is actually filling?

My WT940 is constantly giving the H2O error which according to the manual is caused by the machine failing to fill with water. Well it IS filling with water (I have the soaking wet floor to prove it after I opened the door....!). I have switched it off from the wall and left it - reset it to SPIN only and it still comes up with the error. I am now waiting for an engineer but one cannot come for ages (as it is under 2 weeks old it is under warranty obviously). Is there anything else I can try at home that won't invalidate my warranty?

got the same problem and engineer is not coming for a while what was the problem with yours.we found that even so the h20 sign is flashing it's still washing the clothes all you have to do is spinn it seperatly at the end and just wait for hotpoint
