we are not getting any hot water the pilot light not even coming on when pressing the button in for 60 seconds

seems like you have a boiler with a thermoelectric setup in which case you may have a number of probs 1st:small pilot this is caused by dirt or soot deposits on the pilot light itself 2nd:flame lift off caused by leaking case seals or excessive flue pull 3rd: faulty thermoelectric heat phile
