buy a connects2 adapter which will plug into the back of the 6000 unit and fools the unit into thinking it has a cd changer attached, if its the older 6000 unit with the curvey buttons then the adapter is ends 003 and if its the newer type of 6000 with the square buttons then its 005, the ipod will charge also you can progress tracks with the steering stalk the track info wont display it will just say track1 track2 etc, does not work with 6006 6 multi disk or sony units

Hello. I've tried many ways to get the sam you ask, and the best for me was:

1.- Buy a cheap Ford Radio 5000 RDS cassette player. Be sure to get the steering remote control.

2.- Buy a mp3 cassette player. This is a mp3 player with the exact shape of and old cassette, and will fit in the 5000 cassette player. It will even recognize when yo press FF and REW buttons to skip songs. You can find them on ebay.

Don't think you can to be honest - I've got a factory fitted CD player in my car (which is Seat) and I've tried to get it to play MP3s with no joy! You can pick up MP3 players fairly cheaply these days - try home shopping stores!
