error code F-04 and F-05?

Our Hotpoint washer Model "WF860 1600 spin" fills but stops after a few seconds, and display reads "end" as if it as completed the programme. The display then flashes "F-05" and the washer ignores all buttons. If you switch off at mains then on again everything appears to be normal, but setting a programme results in the same trying to fill etc. All the pipes are clear and water is getting to it. Does anyone know what F-05 means?

I have just had exactly the same problem with my machine!
I had to unblock the drainage pipe that was connected with the sink waste pipes.. Washing tablets caused the blockage because they were not breaking down in the wash & they were congealing in the pipe. I will always use liquid from now on.
Hope this has helped.

Check the the connection of the drainage hose to your sink wastage, as it may be blocked and the drainage of water impeded.
