The Status Bar doesn't appear in Explorer any more. I have to keep selecting Status Bar in the View menu of Explorer.

How can I make sure that the Status Bar appears every time?

Once you have selected the Status Bar (it is ticked in the View Menu) select the Tools menu. Select Folder Options. Select the View Tab. Click the Apply To All Folders Button.

This will make all your folder appear in the same way as the currently opened folder. This will include showing the Status Bar.
