i bought a glue kit
glued the new male part that came with the "kit" onto the windshield, and waited for it to dry
but
i can't get the old male part out of the mirror assembly, in order to put it over the new male part. how do i remove it from the mirror? 93 ford escort. thank you for your consideration

it is probably held in by a set screw remove the allen head set screw and it should come apart easily
