Need help with my Ford 6006E CD Player, it's 'dead'???

Hi, I've just sold my Ford 6CD Changer/Player (6006E) had had it sent back because it's now 'dead'. Assuming it hasn't been damaged in transit can anyone help? It just doesn't light up, it's as if there's no power going to it. But I had it working perfectly when I removed it. Anyone had a simillar problem?

Yeah a friend of mine has tried it in his Ford and had the same result. I'm told they can be very unreliable and that once they start going wrong your better off bining it. I'm guessing Ford would charge a fair wack of money to take a look at it?

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried it in another Ford or are you just taking the buyer`s word for it?....The only way you can really prove whether it is the radio that is faulty or the car wiring is to wire it up to a separate battery supply and + speaker on the workbench and test it. If it works OK then it is the power supply in the vehicle that is the problem
