Try this: press the record button and hold, then press the manual focus button, and release both, that's works for me.

my suggestion is that you may have to get a new button menu thing on the top cause i got the same problem but reatach the top menu thing were u play at and take a look at it and if you r willing to sell at a low price for parts email me at broadnax162@aol.com
