Panasonic SD206 Breadmaker?

The bread fails to rise and the bread is heavy.The recipes are the ones I have used for years with no problems at all untill recently

Re bread failing to rise, as well as old yeast it could be insufficient water in the mix. A good guide is to make sure the dough "slaps" around a bit as it mixes. Watch it mixing and add little by little - not too much though!

We've had this problem. Usually because the yeast has gone off or was of poor quality.
