Kenwood BM200 not heating up?

Breadmaker turns on and stirs ingredients okay, electronic display allows prgramme selection etc. BUT it is not heating up. The heating element (at least that part that is visible) does not appear to be damaged or corroded. Any ideas what the problem could be and whether it could be economically fixed?

If the heating element is not heating up then it's probably defective - seldom will a failed heating element show visible signs of damage.

As for the economy of a repair - very doubtful - but I just guess - and who would you get to repair it?
