I have been encountering trouble with the electric aerial on my Daewoo Leganza CDX 1987 model. When the radio or cassette is turned on there is a grating noise from the motor. Also the aerial is not now raising from the body.

Please advise.

My ex- Leganza was the same,seems it is the points inside the motor that need cleaning or changing, was told this process (although i never did it as i sold it later on).
Disconnect the battery ,remove the 2 securing bolts of the motor ,these are found inside the boot ,nearside under the the side trim and then remove the motor for a "looksee". Hope this is helpful.
