Baxi genesis 80 rattling noise stops when run HW?

Hi my Baxi genesis 80 combi boiler has developed a fault which is driving me demented- it makes a noise which sounds like a vibration rattle, but the noise stops if I run the HW tap. After I turn the HW off, the noise starts up again a little while after.
is this a biggie? I'll need to gets eomoen out to look at it before our nerves are in shreds, but would appreciate any guidance as to how big a job it is likely to be, as am a single mum not wishing to get ripped off (perish the thought!) many thanks.

thanks, but no..I listened this morning, the noise stops when the boiler is in use or the hot water is run. after the HW switches off, it starts up again.

A friend had a similar problem but hers was a whistles more than avibrating noise, but she was told it was a simple washer replacement- an o valve(?) had worn away and so made some sort of difference to a housing (?) (this is double dutch to me, sorry!)

is the noise like boiler water (to start with) and as the boiler heats it gets louder, if so you heat exchanger is partially blocked with scale or sludge, it will have to be replaced (I am ireland based so not sure of charges in the uk)

if this is the case you may also need to get your whole heating systems power flushed to remove all scale and sludge, then chemically treated for long life
