comes on for a few seconds then flashes up E9 and stops can i mend this or do i need an engineer.

hi our slimline has stopped working 16 mins from end of cycle the machine just buzzs this has happened after the drian blocked in the sink ?sadly we cannot recall the advise given to us last time this happened from the smeg engineer your advise would be welcome kerry
